Against the backdrop of growing Russian-Thai trade turnover in 2024-2025, encompassing both export and import figures, a central question in bilateral business relations persists: how to ensure trust and foster mutual long-term interest between the parties amidst ongoing global changes?

Currently, the largest commodity items in the trade relations between the two countries remain traditional petroleum products, metals, and fertilizers. However, more complex joint investment projects in high-tech sectors with significant added value are increasingly playing a role. This diversification of bilateral relations sends a clear signal to the business and investment community about the normalization of the investment climate.

Can the model of Russian-Thai investment partnership become a blueprint for a new architecture of international investment in an era of global economic fragmentation? And can bilateral platforms replace traditional global financial centers as the primary drivers of international capital?

The opening session of the “DEVELOPMENT AND REAL ESTATE” track is dedicated to exploring solutions for attracting large-scale investments into Thailand’s development projects, as well as the potential implementation of integrated territorial development (ITD) projects in Phuket – following the example of successful Russian cases. Participants will discuss how Russian experience can be adapted to Phuket and examine effective formats of cooperation between the government and investors. The key question of the session: will an alternative to Laguna Phuket emerge, and can Thailand create a new world-class tourism magnet?

The opening session of the “HORECA&RETAIL” track will open with welcoming remarks and individual presentations on trends and prospects in the HoReCa and tourism industry, highlighting key areas of economic cooperation between Russia and Thailand. Following the individual presentations, a moderated discussion will bring together leading experts to exchange insights on joint investments, brand localization, and the implementation of modern service standards shaping the future of the HoReCa and tourism industry in both countries.

The digital business sector is growing at an accelerated pace, bringing new products to market annually and transforming even traditional industries.

At the intersection of Russian expertise in AI, cybersecurity, industrial software and the dynamic Thai market with its digital platforms in tourism, e-commerce, and smart cities, prerequisites are emerging for creating breakthrough products.

The session includes expert talks on key development aspects and hands-on group work with mentors to generate ideas and strategies for Phuket’s future development.

In the modern economy, AI technologies are becoming not just a tool for increasing business efficiency, but a true driver of innovation, a generator of new products and project growth. The master class “Specifics of Thai Business Communication for Russian Companies” focuses on the key features of interaction in the Thai professional environment: hierarchy, indirect communication, the importance of “face,” the concepts of sanuk and harmony, the decision-making process, rules of business meetings, and nonverbal behavior. Participants will learn how to build trust, avoid cultural misunderstandings, and prepare effectively for negotiations with Thai partners. The session includes real communication examples, the system of greetings, meeting etiquette, the specifics of small talk, topics to avoid, and principles for establishing long-term business relationships.

This master class outlines the essential legal and regulatory steps to opening a clinic in Thailand.

The Healthcare and Biotech Track will conclude with closing remarks & networking session.

Attending companies will be able to introduce themselves, highlight the partnerships they are seeking, and share their reflections on the Forum. This will be followed by an announcement of the networking opportunities available for panel participants, including a business speed-dating session designed to connect industry leaders, explore potential collaborations, and initiate discussions on future joint projects.

The creative sectors in Russia and Thailand account for 4% and 6% of GDP in 2024, respectively, and are expected to increase by 1.5-2 times by 2030.
